National Pastry Day is December 9th along with Christmas Card Day

Celebrate National Pastry Day by either creating or eating a delicious pastry. On this special day most pastry chef's put on a special display to celebrate this fabulous day. This day is celebrated every December 9th.

Also celebrated every December 9th is Christmas Card Day. This day honors Sir Henry Cole from England who lived from 1818 to 1874. Sir Cole created the first commercial Christmas card in 1843. Still today sending cards through the mail remains a popular tradition and we have now added to this tradition by sending e-cards and festive emails to wish our loved ones and friends Happy Holidays.

Still to this day I prefer receiving a traditional card sent via snail mail rather than an e-card. Something about opening an envelope and actually touching the paper makes me happy inside out.

So make sure to bring a smile to an old friend or family member by sending them a Christmas card this Holiday Season.
